Every ranking view on this register, and the column each one sorts

The nine views

• Developers by registered project count

  Sorts on count of records grouped on promoter_name. Counts registrations held, which rewards volume and says nothing about age.

• Developers by vintage

  Sorts on registration_date, earliest per promoter. Measures time on the register, so a single old registration outranks four new ones.

• Developers by registered area

  Sorts on land_area_under_registration, summed per promoter. Sums declared square metres, so one large scheme outweighs several small ones.

• Projects by registered area

  Sorts on land_area_under_registration. Ranks the project rather than the promoter, on the same declared square metres.

• Newest registrations

  Sorts on registration_date. Sorts on approval date alone, which is the one column with no judgement in it.

• Projects by declared type

  Sorts on project_type. Groups on the declared type rather than ranking, because a type is not an amount.

• Quarterly filing record

  Sorts on qpr_filings. The single heaviest criterion in the rubric, isolated and shown on its own.

• Declared completion dates

  Sorts on declared_completion_date. Sorts a promoter-declared target date, which is a claim on the record, not an outcome.

• Complaint entries on the ledger

  Sorts on complaints. Lists filings, not findings, and only the 13 projects that carry one.

The axes that were not built, and why

A view is only legitimate if it re-sorts real data. These were considered and dropped because the GujRERA dataset holds no column to sort:

• Ranking by price or rate per square metre. GujRERA publishes no price on the public project record, so any such list would be invented.
• Ranking by construction progress. Per block progress percentages exist on the GujRERA portal page but are not in this edition of the dataset, so they are not scored.
• Ranking by delivery or handover. No completion certificate feed is carried here.
• Ranking by reputation, trust or quality. These are not public criteria and this register scores none of them, on principle rather than for want of data.

When a column is added to the dataset, the view is added and the addition is logged on the changes page.

One canonical entity set

All nine views draw on the same 33 project records held at the register. Nothing is ranked here that is not registered there, and every row on every view links back to it and out to the GujRERA record itself.
